PURPOSE OF MECHANIZED SECTION (S
Mechanized Section is designed to give the ISL capability to operate in any terrain or weather, to help out the ISL members or members of the community if in need and cannot get the help they require. Whether it be heavy snow, rain, or extreme temperatures, the Mechanized Section (S7) can make it through using their specialty vehicles designed or modified to deal with all these climate or terrain challenges. Anywhere, anytime.
Some of the Mechanized Section (S7) vehicles and specialty equipment are owned by the Company, some by ISL members, but always kept in top shape and always ready when needed. Specialty off-road vehicles up to heavy lift and construction vehicles, Americans have perfected the art of them all.
The ISL brings this American knowledge and experience together to create a Section in Mechanized, that can utilize its strengths and provide a very unique capability for the ISL as it serves and supports its local communities.
MISSION OF MECHANIZED SECTION
The mission of the Mechanized Section (S7) is for the crews or mechanics to be able to use any of their specialized equipment and specialized vehicles to complete any tasks thrown at them. They are the primary transport for ISL equipment and personnel, to go anywhere, anytime, any environment. The vehicles are modified for very rough terrain, and to be able to negotiate off road conditions, as well as muddy or high-water obstacles. The Drivers, Vehicle Commanders, and Mechanics work as a team to keep the vehicles in a state of high readiness should the need arise to use them in their intended role in S7.

01-Dirt Bike/Motorcycle.
02-UTV, 4-wheeler, Mini trucks, Argo.
03-SUV, Wrangler Type Jeep.
04-4x4 pickup truck.
05-Heavy lift truck, ie: grain truck, flatbed, box truck, farm truck.
06-Military 2 1/2ton 6x6, 5-ton 6x6, etc.
07-Semi and trailer.
08-Front end loader, backhoe, forklift.
09-Cherry Picker Lift, Bucket Truck.
10- Specialized Construction Vehicles.
The Mechanized Section (S7) has great latitude with the type of vehicles they may employ for different missions. These are the experts with specialized vehicles. They also have subsets of specialized units such as the Tactical Vehicle Teams that can insert or extract a Rifle Team in or out of an area, either quietly or hot area. These “TVT”’s are specifically trained for these types of operations as well as dropping off or picking up of equipment, using either an SUV, or Pickup truck. These Teams have mastered the capabilities of their vehicles, specialized navigation and communications gear, even specialized weapons/gear for specialized missions.
The Mechanized Section (S7) have specific S.O.P.s that must be followed to keep their vehicles and crews ready to help but still have latitude to modify equipment and S.O.P.s to better suit the mission or environment as per their professional discretion.
