S-10 Pioneer Section

Purpose of Pioneers Section

The purpose of the Pioneers Section (S10) is to create a ISL Section for youths to learn skills and have events especially for them, to be with other liked minded youths that are interested in learning all types of skills that will aid them in being self-sufficient and teach team work as well as life skills.  The possibilities are endless. This is not a typical “Scouting” club, the Pioneers will have the skills offered and taught to them that other organizations no longer do. As the Pioneer grows in skills and experience, they will be allowed to join the other Sections when they turn 18 years old.

 Responsibilities of the Pioneers Section

The Pioneers have many responsibilities in and out of their Section. They not only have the responsibilities within their own Section, but can be assigned to assist other Sections especially, if their parents or legal guardians are in another Section and they require assistance from them. Many of the skills the Pioneers learn are hands on, which is the easiest way for most people to learn a subject matter. Pioneers will learn many different subjects and can fulfill specific roles within the Section if they so choose.

Organizational Structure

Pioneers are highly encouraged to participate in ISL activities with a partner.  We call these ‘Buddy Teams”, Buddy Teams are teams that help each other out and they learn and train together. It’s always safer and more productive to learn with a Buddy.
